Anti Wrinkle Injections
Otherwise known as "Botox"
Anti-wrinkle injections or “botox” are a safe, non-invasive way to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, especially those caused by facial expressions such as forehead lines, frown lines and ‘crows feet’ around the eyes. Botox is injected into the specific muscles in order to temporarily reduce their movement.

Botox for skin rejuvenation
Quick, confidence-boosting yet natural results
How does botox work?
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the targeted muscles, preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. The result is smoother, more youthful-looking skin. It takes 14 days for botulinum toxin to work fully, therefore I ask for this initial time to pass before your top up, then you have a further 2-week window to have any top ups, or adjustments.
Achieving a natural look
I am looking to achieve a natural restrictive effect which is flattering for my clients; I do not promote the 'frozen face' effect which some practitioners like to do. The effects of Botox typically last for several months, after which a follow-up treatment may be recommended to maintain the desired results.
Prescribing consultation
Botox is a prescription only medicine and therefore it is necessary to have a consultation before your treatment, where we discuss your concerns, what you’d like to achieve from the treatment and your medical history to ensure anti wrinkle treatments are a safe option for you. I liaise with my prescriber - a hospital consultant who also practices aesthetics - after each consultation and will be in touch if there is any reason that botox may not be a suitable treatment.
Who can & cannot have botox?
Botox is an ideal treatment for a quick way to look more refreshed, smoothing out expressive lines and wrinkles. It can be used on younger people (from their late 20s) to prevent deep expression lines forming, as well as on older clients who are beginning to see the signs of ageing.
People with the following cannot have botox:
-
Myasthenia Gravis
-
Allergy to Botulinum Toxin
-
Neuromuscular disorder
-
Pregnant or breastfeeding
-
Allergy to human albumin
